01 · The Kannada block
91 characters in U+0C80–U+0CFF.
Kannada builds conjuncts by subscripting the second consonant under the first (ಕ್ಕ, ನ್ನ), joined with the virama ್ (U+0CCD). The block also has the archaic letters ಱ and ೞ, and the Kannada digits ೦–೯. Unicode’s text segmentation does not join Kannada conjuncts into one character, so many tools count them as two.

Questions about kannada unicode character pad
How do I type Kannada characters that aren’t on my keyboard?
Click them on this pad: each click inserts the character where your cursor is, and you can then copy the whole text. For Kannada typing you can also use your phone’s Kannada keyboard or an input method on your computer; this pad is best for single characters, signs and symbols.
What is U+0C80?
Kannada is the Unicode block U+0C80–U+0CFF. Every Kannada character has a code point in that range, shown as U+ followed by four hex digits. The block currently has 91 assigned characters (Unicode 16.0).
Why do some characters show with a dotted circle?
Vowel signs, the virama and other marks never stand alone: they attach to the letter before them. The pad draws a dotted circle ◌ as a placeholder so you can see the mark; only the sign itself is inserted. Click it after a consonant to attach it.
How do I use the HTML entity or JavaScript escape?
Select a character to see its codes. Use the HTML entity (क) in web pages or emails where you can’t type the character, and the JavaScript escape (\u0915) in code or JSON. Both give the exact same character.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The pad runs in your browser and your text stays on your device.
